Dynasty Summary: Likely to find a limited gadget or slot role in the NFL. Doesn’t seem to have a frame that will carry more weight and needs to rely on his quickness and agility to chew up yardage. Is dangerous in space and if used laterally, could find some success. Acceleration is very good making special teams a likely possibility as well. With limited opportunity for a significant role in the NFL, he could go un-drafted in fantasy.
Rotoworld: 162. Where He Wins: Ervin's explosive athleticism was confirmed in Indy, blazing 4.41 with a 39-inch vertical and 10-foot-10 broad jump. While his size is indicative of a Dexter McCluster type, Ervin's ability to carry a heavy college workload hints at the potential for more should that opportunity
Mark Dulgerian: Ervin, a flashy space weapon, will put together a solid highlight package as Houston's scatback. Bill O'Brien can get creative with Ervin and his open-field running ability. His NFL role will involve 3rd down packages and returning kicks. --
