NFL - "How does a player with this kind of talent catch only 15 balls at Ohio State? That's the question our coaches are going to ask when they get involved." -- Pro personnel director for AFC team
PFF - His ACL recovery obviously has to be vetted, but if you need a deep threat, don't pass on this guy.
CBS - Williams is a game-breaking, ball-in-space receiver who can be especially effective when schemed up. He also has room to improve physically and functionally. Thinking about his best traits and his size, I think of Robby Anderson a lot. That's not a back-handed compliment -- Anderson made his career catching long throws, but he didn't have many (any?) great quarterbacks throwing to him.
DLF - His long speed combined with his suddenness makes him a very dangerous threat in the open field. We should also see him receive a consistent amount of air yards, making him a coveted fantasy asset. Considering where he is being selected in drafts, he might be the biggest value in rookie drafts.
FB Guys - Williams is the best deep threat in this class. His draft stock is clouded by a championship game ACL tear that could limit his rookie year impact, but for teams looking to take the top off of the opposing defense, Williams is just what they want. If he can improve on contested catches and as a route runner, he could be a star, but if not, his quarterback quality will determine his value.
CBS - Williams (knee) could have "a realistic timeframe" to make his NFL debut "late September early October," Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. Williams will be roughly eight months removed from having torn his left ACL when the 2022 regular season kicks off, and such injuries generally carry a recovery timeframe of at least nine months.
