DLF - Tolbert looks like a consensus third-round pick, although his value varies wildly from one mock draft to the next. But if he lands in the third round, he definitely won’t be a mid-third-round rookie pick. However, I rank him similarly to his current DLF values, given his risk profile.
NFL - Silky smooth athlete who has morphed into a monster over the last two seasons. Tolbert is a high-character prospect with skill elements that are dripping with NFL potential. He gave work to everyone he faced, including SEC cover corners at Tennessee.
PFF - While the speed and catch radius are intriguing, Tolbert's frame and age combined with the level of competition give serious pause.
FB Guys - Tolbert combines athleticism, skill, and toughness to put together a complete game. He’s more WR2 than WR1 in NFL depth chart terms, but Tolbert is a high floor prospect with strong production, consistency, and performances against big-time competition.
DLF - Post-Draft Summary: The Cowboys drafted the small school dynamo in the third round of the NFL Draft. As we talked about prior to the official selections, a solid landing spot could move Tolbert up the draft boards - that's exactly what happened when he landed in Dallas with Dak Prescott. After losing Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson, there's room for touches behind CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup. Tolbert is a risk/reward pick in dynasty leagues, but it's one you're likely going to need to make in round two of rookie drafts.
