NFL - Volume-carry running back who plays with an active running style that rarely sees him slow his feet. Penny has the short-area foot quickness to create yardage for himself, but he doesn't really have the burst or long speed to be a homerun hitter. His motor gives him a chance to be a productive NFL starter, but he may lack the explosiveness to be a great back.
CBS - Built like three-down back. Flashes good vision and impressive jump-cutting ability for his size to hit cutback lanes. But too often he only gets what's blocked for him. Doesn't play with power you'd expect. Good, not great long speed. Arm tackles take him to the ground frequently. Mid-rounder.
DLF - PROJECTED RANGE FOR A ROOKIE DRAFT Per DLF’s May ADP, Penny is being selected as the RB4, the fourth player off the board just after Nick Chubb and before Ronald Jones. As he is already near the top, I do not expect to see his ADP change much either way. For my personal rookie rankings, I have Penny as the RB2 only behind Barkley. Considering his elite skillset, draft pedigree and elite landing spot, Rashaad Penny has quickly become one of my favorite prospects in the 2018 class and I expect him to immediately achieve fantasy football success.
