NFL - Big, explosive talent with projectable upside to become a home-run threat as a WR1. Teams seek out pass-catchers with rare height, weight and speed dimensions and Metcalf has those for days. While he has the talent to become a full-field threat, Metcalf is still an unpolished gem who was the second-best receiver on his college team. Until his skill-set is more developed, he could begin his career as a hit-or-miss long-ball threat. However, once it clicks, defenses could struggle to find solutions for him.

DLF - There is tantalizing upside with Metcalf. There is also a trap door floor that could set your team’s rebuild back. N’Keal Harry is the safest wide receiver in the draft class and while some might have AJ Brown or Hakeem Butler next, even recognizing the poor agility score, DK Metcalf should still be the second player taken in 1QB rookie drafts.

Draft Sharks - He tested as an elite athlete, registering a SPARQ score in the 98th percentile. And that was despite bottom-barrel marks in the agility drills (3-cone and short shuttle). Those results are certainly worth keeping in mind, but he never appeared stiff to me on tape. In fact, Metcalf boasts some of the most impressive tape in this year’s WR class, flashing a dominant combination of size, speed and ball skills.

CBS - Eats up cushion against cornerbacks and despite poor shuttle and 3-cone drills at the combine, routinely shows the ability to put the foot in the ground and get and out of breaks. He's good at creating separation with shoulder fakes and blazing speed (4.33 40). Also displays soft hands when hauling in long arcing throws, can high-point the ball on fade routes and has strong hands to fight off physical cornerbacks for the ball.
