NFL - "Good hybrid Y/U tight end. I think he's a really good TE2 and a TE1 for some teams." -- Personnel director for NFC team

PFF - McBride has already excelled in a high-usage role, as expected when drafting him highly. However, he just doesn't quite look like Kyle Pitts athletically.

FB Guys - McBride is a true two-way tight end, a Mackey Award winner who also caught 90 balls for 1,121 yards last year. He doesn’t have ideal length or athleticism, but McBride is a good route runner with good hands, and he’s tough enough to handle himself making catches over the middle in tight quarters. He won’t be an elite fantasy tight end, but the potential for a long career of top 10 fantasy tight end finishes is well within reach.

DLF - Post-Draft Summary: As expected, McBride ended up being the first tight end taken, going to the Arizona Cardinals in the second round. McBride is likely going to sit for a bit behind Zach Ertz, but his long-term outlook is pretty good. Dynasty managers who use a second rounder on him may have to wait to see some solid production post-Ertz, but McBride is capable of being a future TE1.
