PFF - Hall has a well-rounded skill set that can elevate him to RB1, but there's some questions about the translatability of his game.
CBS - When I watch Hall, I'm reminded of prime Arian Foster. Like Foster, I think Hall would best fit a Shanahan-esque one-cut and go zone-based blocking system. He has Foster's patience and even provides as much or more breakaway ability -- with a thicker frame and better yards after contact ability than Foster had.
FB Guys - Hall has a higher ceiling than Walker, at least as an athlete, and he has more to work in the passing game than Walker, but is far from a finished product in that capacity. He’s more of a boom/bust prospect than Walker, but they are close enough in caliber that landing spot and draft capital will determine who is ahead on this list post-draft. Hall’s stepdad, Jeff Smith, was drafted in the 10th round in 1985, playing four years in the NFL, and Hall of Famer Roger Craig is his cousin.
DLF - Post-Draft Summary: Teams passed on Hall in the first round of the draft, but the Jets were quick to trade up and grab him at the top of the second. It's an interesting landing spot for Hall, who should displace the incumbent Michael Carter as the 1A pretty quickly in New York. There were better landing spots for his services, but being drafted by the Jets is no disaster, either. He's still the favorite to go first overall in rookie drafts this off-season and should have the ability to post decent numbers quickly with the Jets.
