NFL - Evaluating Guice requires settling in for two full seasons of tape study as he was only healthy a fraction of the 2017 season. While Guice has some elusiveness and long speed, much of his success comes from his furious running style and ability to create yardage after contact. Guice’s yards per touch was two yards higher over his first two seasons compared to last year. Like Leonard Fournette the year before, teams may be willing to lock in on his sophomore tape to create their evaluations and grades. Guice’s running style could lead to a shorter career, but he has a chance to make a big splash early.
CBS - Muscular, feature-back frame with serious lower-body strength. Elite balance and suddenness between the tackles that translate to scary power. Above-average long speed. Vision is special. Round 1 talent.
DLF - PROJECTED RANGE FOR ROOKIE DRAFTS Guice was the consensus 1.02 pre-draft in both DLF’s rookie rankings and DLF’s Rookie ADP. Expect this to dip a bit now that more information is available. Saquon Barkley has locked up the 1.01 spot, but Guice has fallen into a tier with Rashaad Penny, Sony Michel, Nick Chubb, DJ Moore, and Ronald Jones post-draft. Because of this, 1.02-1.07 is the range in which Guice could be selected.
