Dynasty Summary: The mystery man. Just what is he and how good can he be? Reports were he impressed scouts with his arm during his pro-day. He’s got the size and arm for a leap to the next level but hasn’t been sufficiently tested to eliminate the high degree of risk he carries. Very raw, his arm is somewhere between a howitzer and a shotgun from play to play. Can really spin it with velocity and touch on some passes and then look forced and uncomfortable on others. Mechanics in the pocket need a lot of work and he relies on his arm and stature too often. For a mobile-capable quarterback, he’s best from the pocket. Look for Jones as a flier in the late third or fourth rounds of fantasy drafts.

Rotoworld: 139. Ohio State QB Cardale Jones almost hung up on the Bills when he received the call that he was getting drafted because he'd been getting pranked all day.

Mark Dulgerian:  This was a connection many around the organization had made prior to the draft. "12 Gauge" has the size and arm to push the ball through the elements. With the futures of Tyrod Taylor and EJ Manuel in limbo, Jones could eventually be "the guy" in Buffalo. --

Selected    Round 3 - pick 41(CP)

Selected    Round 4 - pick 2

Selected   Round 2 - pick 20
Dynasty Summary:

Rotoworld: 195. Where He Wins: Hackenberg will likely be allowed time to sit and theoretically learn without having to prove himself early in actual game situations. Chan Gailey has engineered plenty of production from lesser talents, but Hackenberg will need to be mindful of turnovers once getting an opportunity.

Mike Mayock:  "He has prototypical size and arm talent. However, the tape is wildly inconsistent and he's a wild card. I hope the Jets give him time to develop." --

QuarterBacks
Dynasty Summary: Much like the report on Paxton Lynch, with this fantasy class lacking truly elite talent at the position, capable and up-side players like Cook could present significant opportunities for patient fantasy owners. Cook’s stock is currently all over the map with some believing that he could slip into the first round of the NFL draft given the need by many NFL teams. There’s enough to like with Cook given his size, leadership and collegiate production. Footwork and mechanics are choppy and inconsistent and accuracy has been a concern. But he possesses the strength, pocket presence and enough mobility to be an earlier selection in the NFL Draft. In fantasy, he’ll likely be a late third round selection, providing intriguing upside value.

Rotoworld: 77. Where He Wins: Cook profiles as a cross between Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn. He looks the part, but doesn't throw the ball straight or with touch on a consistent basis.

Mark Dulgerian: Four-year starter with plenty of "big game" experience. Has some NFL starter tools as a passer and likely would've been selected sooner had he earned better marks for his leadership traits. Raiders traded up for an ideal backup for Carr with potential to develop into a more valuable asset down the line.
