Dynasty Summary: In a year with no elite quarterback prospects, Lynch has fallen behind both Jared Goff and Carson Wentz for top quarterback honors. Arguably, Lynch has just as much upside as these other two names as all three are very different players. Lynch has satisfactory arm strength, efficient mobility and a commanding 6’7" figure. His mechanics and reads are inconsistent but he possesses the leadership, intelligence and intangibles to be a starter early in his career. For fantasy owners in need of a quarterback, while others fight for the rights to Goff and Wentz late in the first round or early in the second round, you could be well rewarded by waiting until the late second round or third round should he fall.
Rotoworld: 75. Where He Wins: Fulfills and offers many of the buzzwords. Height, arm, mobility, velocity, etc. There are games where he puts all of the tools together, namely Ole Miss in 2015. Then there are other contests where he looks out of sorts. With quarterbacks, unless I think they can be quality starters early in their careers I tier them after the “first-round” worthy prospects.
Mike Mayock: "He knows he has some work to do. On the positive side, Lynch has elite arm talent and athletic ability. What he needs to work on is that he's never been in a huddle, never been under center, and never done a five-step drop let alone a seven-step drop." --
