Bringing Out the Worst In Others
Key Stat:
Average Points Scored per Game: 91.9
Warthogs Opponents per Game: 83.1

All year long, opponents kindly rolled out the red carpet for Coach Michael Lucente and Warthogs. They had 83.1 points per game scored against them during the regular season, which was fewer than any other team. The easy schedule takes a bit of the shine off Warthogs' 11 - 3 record.
Pulling the Right Levers
Key Stat:
Average Coach's Points: -7.9
Coaches Brian Stratton and Rob Stratton's Points: 54

Coaches Brian Stratton and Rob Stratton can hang their hat on the fact that they were the best gameday coaches in the league. They gave their team the victory in two different games, including a week one win where their decisions were 30 points better than the experts that week. Despite that coaching performance, Young Guns wound up tied for the 2nd worst regular season record in the league at 4 - 10.
Tight-an
Key Stat for Fixer Upper:
Average Tight End Points Per Game: 5.1
Taysom Hill Points Per Game Started: 15.7

Fixer Upper leaned on Taysom Hill all year, as he was the league's best tight end, scoring 112 points. Hill's best game came in week 11, when he put up 68 points in leading Fixer Upper to victory over Young Guns. In part because of his efforts, Fixer Upper finished up tied for the 4th best regular season record in the league at 8 - 5 - 1.
Top Heavy
Key Stat:
JP Neil Top 3 Players PPA: 224.5
JP Neil 4-6 Players PPA: 34.6

JP Neil were the most top-heavy squad in the league this year, with a huge gap between their top three players and their next three best starters. The group of Saquon Barkley, Jalen Hurts, and Alvin Kamara wound up at +224.5 Points Vs Positional Average (PPA) while in the starting lineup this year. Their next three best players, Courtland Sutton, Brock Bowers, and DeVonta Smith, finished up well behind at +34.6 PPA.
Mirror Mirror
Key Stat for Nooners:
Record When Tyrone Tracy Jr. Overperforms: 3 - 2
Record When Tyrone Tracy Jr. Underperforms: 0 - 6

It was pretty simple, if Tyrone Tracy Jr. didn't perform up to expectations, Nooners weren't going to win. Nooners looked hopeless when Tracy Jr. failed to hit his projections, and at least decent when he did. Coach Leslie Lucente could have used a lot more good efforts from Tracy Jr., as they closed the season at 6 - 12.
Trying New Things
Key Stat:
Average Number of Starters: 29.9
Texan Starters: 39

Like a fashionista picking out shoes or an oenophile picking a fine wine, Coach Rick Stasch just could not decide who to start from day to day. Texan had more starters than any other team, putting 39 different players into the lineup over the course of the regular season. Despite that coaching performance, Texan wound up tied for 10th place during the regular season with a 4 - 10 record.
Following the Script
Key Stat for Lynx:
Record Vs. Above 0.500 Teams: 1 - 7
Record Vs. Below 0.500 Teams: 4 - 2

Lynx mopped up the bottom dwellers in the league, but struggled big time against top competition. Their inability to come through in tough games doomed them to a 5 - 9 regular season record. The unimpressive finish was also partially due to Lynx's 10th ranked running backs.
Not Coachable
Key Stat:
Average Coach's Points: -7.9
Coach George Leedle's Points: -93

Coach George Leedle has plenty of decisions to regret after his lineup choices left him as the worst gameday coach in the league. He ended up costing his team the game in week one with his lineup decisions, which were 14 points worse than the experts that week. Overall, McGibblets finished in 7th place during the regular season with a record of 6 - 8.
Stacked
Key Stat:
Average RB Points/Week: 18.7
Lucente's Rule RB Points/Week: 29.2

Lucente's Rule got big efforts from their running backs, who put up a best-in-the-league 29.21 points per game. Derrick Henry was the key member of that stalwart corps, scoring 235 points for Lucente's Rule this season. Lucente's Rule ran their way to an 8 - 6 regular season record.
On the Hot Seat
Key Stat:
Average Team Points per Game (reg. season): 91.9
Strange Brew Points per Game (reg. season): 61.8

There's always next year for Coaches Ed Stasch and Ethan Stasch. This year, however, Strange Brew wound up in last place in the overall standings at 4 - 14. Coaches Ed Stasch and Ethan Stasch can only blame themselves as they forgot to set their lineup 3 times this season.

Top 3 Regular Season Games
1. Young Guns' 115 - 106 win vs. Texan in week 13 Young Guns came into the game desperately needing a win, having lost their previous nine games. That desperation pushed Young Guns to produce their highest score of the entire year.

2. Warthogs' 177 - 77 blowout of Lucente's Rule in week 14 This "game" ended up being the biggest blowout of the season. It is no surprise that the final score was so lopsided, since the 177 points Warthogs dropped were the most that any team scored all season.

3. Strange Brew's 94 - 78 win over Young Guns in week 4 When looking back on their season, Young Guns will look at this game as the beginning of a dark time. The loss sent them into a spiral as they dropped their next eight games. No one had a bigger hand in the victory than Coaches Ed Stasch and Ethan Stasch, who gained a critical 20 points through ace roster management.
