Vincent Jackson  WR  SD
San Diego WR Vincent Jackson said he was encouraged by reconnecting with Chargers QB Philip Rivers after returning to practice last Thursday. Jackson signed his franchise tag offer on Friday and will earn more than $11.3 million in 2011. “Us getting together, it was unique. We hadn’t seen each other for a few months and then we get out there and it was like we never left,” Jackson told NFL.com. “We have really good chemistry and we both understand the system really well with the timing and depths of routes. I’m just looking forward to picking up where we left off and gradually building up so when we get to Week 1 we’re going full speed and have everything caught up.”

Shonn Greene  RB   NYJ
The New York Daily News reports that Jets coach Rex Ryan expects a big workload this season from RB Shonn Greene. "You know me, I love to fire a fresh back at ya," Ryan said. "But to start with, I'm thinking the plan is you're going to get a heavy dose of Shonn Greene."

Arian Foster   RB   HOU
Texans RB Arian Foster, who missed Week 1 with a hamstring injury, returned to practice Wednesday. Head coach Gary Kubiak said he took the normal Wednesday reps for a starter. Houston plays Miami in Week 2. "Everything was positive," Kubiak said. Kubiak suggested during a media conference call that RB Ben Tate would get the bulk of the carries on Sunday since Foster's status is still questionable. However, Kubiak seems to be contradicting himself with comments after the conference call. "If he can play, you play. There won't be being careful with him," Kubiak said of Foster. Foster added that he expects to play Sunday. "That's the plan," Foster said.
