Prospects Comments

NFL - St. Brown's combination of size and speed will be coveted by offenses looking for a prospect who can create throwing windows down the field with his ability to separate as the route progresses. St. Brown's competitive nature needs to improve as does his play strength to elude early pressure from physical cornerbacks. He has never been a volume target and has just three 100-yard games in his career. At this stage, St. Brown is more of a threat than a weapon and his ceiling may be an average starter or WR3.

CBS - Height/speed specimen at the wide receiver spot. Runs like a sprinter with a high, long stride that eats cushion quickly. Impressive movement skills for his high-cut stature but not going to make many miss in the open field. Not a dominant high-pointer despite his height and long arms and lack of strength could hurt him against press man. Intriguing somewhat raw prospect.

DLF - ROOKIE DRAFT ADVICE   In our most recent, super hot of the presses post-draft ADP, ESB is the 25th rookie off the board. Most years I’d call you all nuts for taking him so early, but the draft is particularly weak once you get into that area. Still, St. Brown is an incredibly speculative pick, I’d likely not make even at that point. You are far better off trading out and letting somebody else burn the late second/early third. Then be patient, let the months roll by, and when he does absolutely nothing this season, offer his owner a late round pick or snag him off waivers in case 2019 goes better.
