Yahoo Sports. - Smith-Schuster passes the eye test in terms of an N.F.L.-ready wide receiver. His six-foot-two 220-pound frame looks much bigger on the field and Smith-Schuster matches that with athleticism. He plays a physical style of receiver, consistently breaking away from attempted jams. He never gives up on a play, and always finds a way to come down with the ball. He showed only average speed at the college level, though. He is an effective down-field blocker, but must work on locking up defenders instead of just throwing them off-course. Smith-Schuster looks like the perfect player for Seattle’s perimeter.
Yahoo Sports: 69. USC WR JuJu Smith-Schuster — Emotions cripple him at times, but he’s a physical, confident, speed-deficient split end with Hakeem Nicks-like game.
DLF: Smith-Schuster ran a 4.54 40-yard dash at 215-pounds which is a decent speed for his weight and is fast enough for him to create separation from defensive backs. Since Smith-Schuster isn’t a deep threat and will more than likely won’t be utilized as one at the NFL level, all we needed from him was to not bomb the 40-yard dash by running near the 4.7-range. Unfortunately, he didn’t participate in the three-cone drill, so we don’t have any metrics concerning his short area quickness.
NFL Overview: Smith-Schuster was a star in his sophomore season, but didn't quite live up to that standard as a junior. Still his NFL prospects will be determined by his role at the next level. He's a big body receiver who doesn't break a ton of tackles, but isn't easy to bring down, either. He's not winning any long foot races, but does well at getting open in short spaces and finding holes in zones. Smith-Schuster won't be a field stretcher, but he can be a potential chain-moving possession receiver in the right offense. His fantasy value is likely to be fairly limited until we have a better idea of his role in an NFL attack.

DRAFT ANALYSIS: "That's interesting given that Martavis Bryant was just reinstated from his suspension. ... He's kind of a smaller version of Mike Williams. Big body, good catch radius, competes, good in-game awareness. I like him." -- Mike Mayock
