Prospects Comments
NFL - Smith possesses average NFL size, but unusually long arms. While there is clearly room for more consistency with finishing catches outside his frame, he does have the ball skills and ability to go up and over opponents to win the downfield throws. Smith's easy acceleration in space creates workable advantages early in routes, but he'll need to keep improving on his press release technique. Smith should challenge for a spot at WR4/WR5, but his his ceiling is a little limited.

CBS - Decent size for outside WR spot. Strong hands. Long, athletic frame. Plus ability in jump-ball situations. Deceptive long speed due to long strides. Adequate after the catch. Stands out as a blocker. Will need to learn how to beat press at the line in NFL but isn't lost in that area. Underrated prospect with No. 2 wideout ability.

DLF - ROOKIE DRAFT ADVICE     Going almost a full round after Washington, Smith’s rookie ADP of 24 may make him seem like a smart buy, but when you factor in those ahead of him in the Saints’ offense and how fickle dynasty owners are with mid-round rookies, especially receivers, he may not represent a great value for your draft dollar. If you are as confident as I am Smith isn’t going to light up the scoreboard this year, your best bet is to spend your pick elsewhere and float out a trade offer for him some time late in the season.
