Cowboys WR Dez Bryant didn't practice Wednesday because of a thigh contusion he suffered in Week 1 against the Jets. The Dallas Morning News reports Bryant rode a stationary bike on Wednesday and declined to talk to reporters. HId coach did not. "He loves to play and wants to get himself out there," coach Jason Garrett said. "Now, unfortunately, he has some injuries since he's been here - some serious, legitimate injuries that he's had to fight through and he'll continue to learn how to fight through those in practice and get himself out to practice and get himself as ready as he can be come game time..." Dallas travels to San Francisco in Week 2.

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson is in uniform and on the field at practice on Friday morning. He has been missing at practice since Monday, attending to the birth of his son, Adrian, Jr. It was the first time Peterson was on the field with new Vikings QB Donovan McNabb. Peterson said he is excited about the new Vikings offense and he feels that he may be used in the passing game more often: “Just looking through the playbook, the running back and fullback are definitely involved a lot,” said Peterson.
