Yahoo Sports. - The true center-piece to Ohio State’s offense in 2016, Samuel could certainly take on a Ty Montgomery-like role in the N.F.L. Samuel accumulated 865 yards through the air and 771 on the ground so he will likely play a hybrid-role at the next level. Players of his size (five-foot-eleven, 201 pounds) can still be quite successful in such role. Samuel is well suited to follow such trend. He possesses impressive strength, but still has room to improve in that area. He is an exceptional playmaker scoring 15 all-purpose touchdowns
Yahoo Sports: 6. Curtis Samuel, Ohio State (also RB) — 5-11, 196 — A poor man’s McCaffrey perhaps but with a similar skill set, lower mileage and terrific foot speed
DLF: Samuel had an amazing combine performance posting a 4.31 40-yard dash at 196-pounds. He was utilized as both a running back and wide receiver at Ohio State and was successful at both positions. If anything, he profiles more to Percy Harvin than compared to anyone else on this list due to how he was deployed in college.
NFL Analysis: A true dual-threat, the Buckeyes lined up Samuel all around the field and got him the ball in a variety of ways. Samuel is a natural pass-catcher and shows solid ability as a route-runner which would explain why he switched from RB to WR prior to the draft. However, he does posess the lateral agility and burst to run between the tackles, if his NFL team so desired. Teams looking for a utility player in the Tyreek Hill mold could turn Samuel into a fantasy-relevent player early into his career, giving him appeal in the middle rounds of dynasty rookie drafts. PPR players should keep an eye on Samuel, as he hauled in an impressive 74 receptions in 2016 as a running back.

DRAFT ANALYSIS: "I think he's going to be a wideout with them and they'll move him around. In my notes under wide receiver, I have Kelvin Benjamin and who else? They need dynamic offensive players and they just added two." -- Mike Mayock
