Yahoo Sports. - An under-the-radar gem, Hansen combines size and speed effectively. He likely will be limited to perimeter play in the N.F.L. based off his route tree abilities, but shows potential to expand upon this. He has good hands, but would definitely benefit from showing more effectiveness high-pointing the ball. He looks good in terms of blocking technique, but as with most wide-receivers he can always improve. He could the type of player who replaces a Jermaine Kearse.

Yahoo Sports: 72. Cal WR Chad Hansen — Underrated playing speed, good hands give him chance to be an eventual No. 2 option.

NFL Analysis: Playing in Cal's Air Raid offense, most of Hansen's routes were verticals and comebacks, which leads to questions about his knowledge of the full route tree. That would be an easily dismissed criticism. What Hansen lacks in short-area quickness he makes up for with long speed though he's not great on contested catches and not great after the catch. Hansen does have legitimate pro prospects, but he's likely to be relegated to a very specific role at the next level. The question remains whether he has the long speed to be a deep threat in the NFL since he hasn't shown the type of quickness and agility that would make him a slot WR candidate. It also seems unlikely that he'll make much of a fantasy impact in anything beyond best-ball formats.

DRAFT ANALYSIS: The Jets have needs all over their roster but adding more WR help only adds to a passing game that largely sputtered in 2016. Hansen is a reliable chain-mover who can work the boundaries. --Mark Dulgerian
