RotoWorld: 61. Where He Wins: Has the tools to progress into a tight end who can help in both the passing and running game. However, plenty of questions exist. Hooper has flashed winning in the intermediate and downfield portions of the field due to body control and athleticism, but those opportunities are minimal. Right now, he sustains blocks and sees the majority of his targets in the middle of the field less than 10 yards beyond the line of scrimmage.
Mike Mayock: "There's a pretty good legacy of tight ends coming out of Stanford. He has a rare feel as a route runner, and an understanding of when and where to set a route down. He reminds you a little bit of a Zach Ertz." --
RotoWorld: 85. Vannett has long arms (34 1/4") and was a solid college blocker, but he'll struggle to make a passing-game impact as more than a short-area dump-off target. He gives the Seahawks some insurance at tight end with Jimmy Graham still recovering from a torn patellar tendon.
Ohio State coach Urban Meyer: "He's a made player. His first two years weren't very good, but in the last two years he was phenomenal. He has very good size and is a good route runner." --
RotoWorld: 115. He is a major partier. That was his big problem, despite the arrests," the scout said. "He has a lot of maturing to do, and I'm not sure he can mature fast enough." Higbee was arrested last month and charged with second-degree assault, alcohol intoxication and fleeing or evading police. An anonymous NFL scout told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Higbee has legal problems to go with "his personality, his reputation."
Mark Dulgerian: The Rams apparently felt comfortable enough with Higbee's recent off-field issues and history of injuries to select one of the more dynamic receiving TEs early Day 3. The former WR and preseason Biletnikoff watchlister gives their new franchise QB a field-stretcher at TE after losing Jared Cook in free agency. -
